Morning Walk

3f

The Old Mermaids are soul sisters with the Faeries, I'm sure, so I thought you might enjoy this poem written by Mario Milosevic.

Morning Walk

Her bent paperclip cane,
forgotten by the doll house.

I sprint outside, tiny staff
held between thumb and forefinger.

Call her name. Listen for
a reply. None comes. But a

wren fills the air with her
song. An eagle, circling above,

bows its head in devotion.
I forget how sometimes this fairy

needs only the sound
of the world for support.
